  1.     Add NIS Server
  2.  
  3.     This window allows you to configure a NIS Server. NIS is supported on 
  4.     all platforms that have appropriate software installed.
  5.  
  6.     This window has the following fields:
  7.  
  8.     Server Type
  9.  
  10.     Use this toggle to specify what type of NIS server to configure, a
  11.     Master (the default) or Slave server. If you set this to be a Slave
  12.     server, the window will be redrawn to show the slave server fields.
  13.  
  14.     Master Fields
  15.  
  16.         NIS Master Hostname
  17.  
  18.         Use this field to specify the hostname of the NIS master server.
  19.  
  20.         NIS Domain Name
  21.  
  22.         Use this field specify the domain name for this server.
  23.  
  24.  
  25.         NIS Slave Server Hostnames
  26.  
  27.         You can use this field to specify any NIS slave servers for this
  28.         domain.
  29.  
  30.         Configure Server as NIS Client
  31.  
  32.         Use this toggle to specify if this server should also be configured
  33.         as an NIS client. The default is Yes.
  34.  
  35.         Configure Master to use DNS
  36.  
  37.         Use this toggle to specify if the NIS master server should use DNS
  38.         as a fallback. The default is No.
  39.  
  40.         DNS Domain Name
  41.  
  42.         You can only use this field if you set the Configure Master to use
  43.         DNS field to Yes. If so, you can use this field to specify the
  44.         domain name of the DNS servers the NIS master should reference.

  46.         DNS Server Hostnames
  47.  
  48.         You can only use this field if you set the Configure Master to use
  49.         DNS field to Yes. If so, you can use this field to specify the
  50.         hostnames of the DNS servers the NIS master should reference.

  52.     Slave Fields

  54.         NIS Slave Hostname
  55.  
  56.         Use this field specify the hostname of the NIS slave server.
  57.  
  58.         NIS Master Hostname
  59.  
  60.         Use this field specify the hostname of the NIS master server.
  61.  
  62.         NIS Master Domain Name
  63.  
  64.         Use this field specify the domain name for the NIS master server.
  65.  
  66.         Configure Server as NIS Client
  67.  
  68.         Use this toggle to specify if this server should also be configured
  69.         as an NIS client. The default is Yes.

  71.     Buttons (both types of NIS servers)

  73.     This window contains the following buttons:

  77.     Click on this button to add the new NIS server shown in the window.

  79.     Clear Fields

  81.     Click on this button to clear the existing choices in all fields.

  85.     Click on this button to discard any changes and close the window.
